Updates 27/1/2012
AFTER THREE MEETINGS OF THE CLUB: we have had attendances of 22, 21, and 15 people respectively, playing on four tables, and 9 people have so far joined as members.
PUBLICITY: I distributed flyers advertising the start up of the club through the doors of over 2300 houses in the local area, and I advertised the club on a few strategic places on the Internet. I had quite a few telephone calls and emails as a result of this publicity.
CHILDREN: Some people have asked about children playing table tennis. Because this is a new club starting up, we do not have CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) checks for officials or a Child Protection Policy in place for the club, so (for the time being) our rule is that children must be accompanied and supervised at all times.
